Amazingly enough, it has been over three months since I started on my 3 step biodetoxification process. While I was going through the process I felt a little tired here and there, but I felt like I was truly alive, ready to make decisions and take on many challenges! After the process was over, I slipped back to eating foods not on the detoxification list and I really felt the difference… I was exhausted, my brain was cloudy, and every time I had a cup of coffee (which I really love the taste of) I felt like I was walking around with my eyes wide open and not really getting the full effect of what was going on around me.
Needless to say, I buckled down and went back to sticking to the foods on the hypoallergenic/ anti-inflammatory food list provided with the 3 step bio-detoxification process and, again, I feel WONDERFUL!
When I introduce a patient to the concept of the 3 step biodetoxification process, the comment I get most often is “what CAN I eat?”. That is a valid comment since there is a whole list of do not eat foods, but there is also a list of foods that you can eat. At first glance it doesn’t look like you can eat much at all, but when you combine those foods in certain ways, you can have a Party In Your Mouth! In fact, just this week I made the recipe provided below and it was incredible! Since I really love foods with flair, this was one of those recipes that I couldn’t stop thinking about and it was SOOO simple.
This recipe find was in a cookbook I never would’ve thought of for healthy recipes, but I found a bunch of them in it after a great patient let me borrow the book for that very reason (thank you!). Believe it or not this recipe was in the South Beach Diet Quick and Easy Cookbook. Therefore, you can still eat healthy without compromising any taste. The best part about healthy eating is how you feel afterward. In fact, if you have undergone the 3 step biodetoxification process or are going through it and have either some recipes of your own or some great stories about how the detox helped, share them with us in the "Share Your Recipes!" area in the column on the right.
Grilled Chicken with Garlic, Olive, and Tomato Salsa.
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes
A simple mix of Classic Mediterranean ingredients tuns chicken into a delicious savory dish that’s perfect weeknight fare. Try a mixed variety of olives, if you’d like, and remember that olives are naturally salty so use a light hand when seasoning the salsa.

Combine olives, tomato, garlic, vinegar, oregano, and 1 tablespoon of the oil in a mixing bowl. Toss with parsley, if using, and season to taste with salt and pepper.
Heat grill or grill pan to medium-high. Rub chicken with remaining oil and season with salt and pepper. Grill until no longer pink inside, about 4 minutes per side. Serve warm with salsa.
Enjoy the party in your mouth!
