Are My Allergies Here to Stay?

Why is Everything Green and I’m SO Congested?

Spring is one of the most beautiful times of the year in regards to the flowers blooming, the trees coming alive, and the birds flying around so gracefully. Of course, with the flowers blooming in the spring comes all that pollen. Cars are coated with that yellow-green powder. This year my white front porch railing is colored yellow-green and it is being tracked into the house.  It is everywhere!!!

How can you keep yourself from getting all of those horrible reactions to that yellow-green powder? Of course it sounds easy, but the best way is to keep yourself healthy is by adapting the core health foundations. The more your body has to fight off and heal by you not taking care of yourself, the less your body can handle an overwhelm of pollen. Let me give you an example. Say you love to drink cola and you drink two to three cans every day. No big deal you think. However, each 12 oz. can of cola contains ten, yes ten, teaspoons of sugar that your body has to process. By drinking two or three cans a day your body has to make enough insulin to process 20 to 30 teaspoons of sugar. That is quite a bit of insulin just for some cola! Then when the pollen gets horrific your body says “I can’t take this any longer.  I'm already reacting to one overwhelming thing.  I just produce enough mucus to shut it all that pollen out.”

All serious cases of bona-fide allergies aside, returning to the foundations of health allows your body to say, “Wow, we can handle this yellow-green powder that is floating everywhere without overwhelming our body.”  What a great way to be during pollen season!
