The obvious sign to see if you are content is to see if you are relaxed and have a smile on your face. But what are the signs of overload, or doing too much? If you know those signs, you can work to defeat them and get that smile back on your face!
Headaches are one of those signs of overload. Of course there are certain headaches that are not linked to emotions and you can still be happy if you have one of those, but when you take on too much, a headache can result. Just the act of relieving some of your stress can allow your headaches to dissipate and your smile to appear!
Withdrawal from friends and family can also be one of those signs that you’ve taken on too much. When your needs aren’t being met, then you focus on yourself and a downward cycle can begin. In this case, sometimes saying “no” to your loved one’s requests for you to do more can be the best action you can take to get that happy feeling again.
Believe it or not, those sleepless nights might not be caused by your mattress, but may be the result of having all those thoughts of what you still need to do and how you are going to accomplish it running through your head. Let those thoughts go and tell yourself you will worry about it in the morning. If you can’t let it go then you need to delegate and let others take some of the load off of you. As you know, a great night’s sleep can lead to a great smile in the morning!
Watch your body signals for signs of overwhelm then do what is appropriate to reduce those signs and show that beautiful smile again.
We all share the same 24 hours.
Everyone on this earth has one thing in common, and that is we all have the same 24 hours to make up a day. What we choose to do with our time can drastically change our lives.
It is always ironic when people say they don’t have time for important things in their life, like exercise or making healthy meals, but yet they watch three hours of television every night.
If you are in overwhelm, the best thing to do is reorganize your time and ACT. Do something to work yourself out of the pile of activities you are under and the feeling will be one of sincere accomplishment.
Once you are out of that pile, don’t create it again. Remember, there are only 24 hours in a day so use them, but don’t abuse them! J
