Go Green Naked

Going green has become the catch phrase for doing things that are environmentally sound such as solar power or wind power, but have you ever thought about going green for your health?

You may be thinking that going green and being environmentally friendly will help your health in the end. Yes, it will. However, I want you to think about your health now. Why not try eating more green! Yes, the broccoli, asparagus, green beans and those other veggies you can grow fond of. Eating fresh vegetables will significantly increase your health and help the environment at the same time.

If you want to go green naked, which is the best way, you will be going organic! Eating your veggies without any pesticides is definitely better than eating them with pesticides. It is better for the environment and better for your body. Pesticides actually lower the immune system of the plant because the plant doesn’t have to fight things off and repair itself. As a result the plant doesn’t produce as many beneficial micronutrients.

Not using pesticides on your vegetables will also spare the environment of having to clean them out and your body won’t have to clean them out either! Your body can spend more energy using the nutrients from the food to repair and heal itself.

In any event, even if you can’t eat the organic greens for whatever reason, you should still go green and eat five to eight fruits and vegetables a day. Your body will be thanking you!
