Have you ever been on one of those long miserable trips that you just couldn’t seem to get comfortable on? Whether it is in a car, on a plane or even on a train, travel can sometimes be hard on your body. However, with the right preparation, you can have some great travel experiences.
One of the best and easiest tools to bring when you travel is a regular bath towel. This versatile tool can be rolled up and put under your knees to relieve pressure on your low back. It can also be placed behind your neck to support your head after you roll it up. And a rolled up bath towel is ideal for being placed in the small of your low back to give it more support. And if all else fails an extra towel will at least dry you off after you get out of the shower!
Another area that you can prepare for to help avoid downfall is preparing some healthy snacks to bring. I’m sure somewhere along your travels you’ve gotten hungry and ended up eating the first thing you could get your hands on however healthy or unhealthy it was. Just packing some grapes, nuts, raisins, carrots, trail mix or plain rice cakes and eating them when you feel those first pangs of hunger will allow you to then look for some healthy food to eat without feeling famished.
Along with some healthy snacks, you should pack some water. Getting dehydrated while you are traveling can make you feel tired and/or hungry. Neither of which will help you have a happy travel experience. Be sure to take frequent drinks of water to ward off thirst and dehydration.
All in all, just a few minutes of preparation can make your travel experience so much more enjoyable.
Have luggage?
If you are going to use luggage, please use luggage you can pull instead of trying to load all of that weight on your spine and on your shoulders.
Piggybacking your luggage so the separate pieces can be attached and wheeled together can save tremendous amounts of stress on your spine. With all of that stress saved, you can enjoy your trip more!
Also, it is much easier for you to piggyback your handbag or computer bag on your wheeled luggage than pulling your wheeled luggage with the item sitting on top of it.
However, if you only need one piece of wheeled luggage, the best and easiest way to go is with swivel luggage. It has four wheels that rotate in any direction reducing the noticeable weight in your luggage significantly. Now that’s a way to travel easier!
