Oh No! Toxic Overload!
Reminisce a little about when you were young or watch some young children playing at a park for an afternoon then think about all of that energy they have! Often comments are made like: “If I only had half the energy that they have or I used to have, I could get so much accomplished!” or “If I could only bottle up that energy and sell it, I’d be a millionaire!”
As we all have experienced, our energy seems to be depleted much quicker over time as we get older. Believe it or not, this is natural, but not to the degree it occurs in today’s society. We have become victims of TOXIC OVERLOAD. Our bodies were designed to handle a certain amount of toxicity, but once we cross the toxic threshold, our bodies begin to break down and disease processes begin.
Here are some examples of how our body feels with toxic overload. Have you ever been in a great conversation with someone only to have a child interrupt repeatedly with your name? In my case it is Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, etc. You can no longer focus on that conversation since your ears become queued to your name over and over. If the child were to say your name once you can easily handle it, but when it is repeated your body reaches that overload status. Another example comes from video/computer games. If you have ever played Tetris or any other game where you need to get rid of things as more keep coming in, then you will know what I am talking about. In the beginning, the pace is slow and you are able to delete blocks and clear levels easily, but as the rounds go by you start to struggle to get the blocks out because more come in quicker than you can get rid of them. Then, of course, it is GAME OVER or toxic overload!
Toxic overload can be prevented by slowing down the toxins that go into your body to allow your body’s healing capacity the time to break down those toxins and get them out!
Examples of toxins our body must break down and get rid of are:
s Alcohol
s Excessive sugar
s Preservatives
s Heavy metals
s Pesticides
s Chlorine
s Some molds and fungi
s Allergens
There are many more toxins that our bodies must clean out, but the terms can get technical. Just realize that, as a general rule, the more organic things are, the fewer toxins they will have and the better for your body.
