You really do need this. It is not for sale, doesn’t cost anything, but when done correctly can really help your life in so many different ways. I am talking about none other than SLEEP.
There are so many great qualities of sleep and if you listen to your body you can really reap the rewards. Good, quality sleep can leave you feeling well refreshed, which can allow you to think clearly.
Sleep in the right amounts can also increase your immune system function so it is a great complement to chiropractic care. When your immune system is working well, you tend to take off fewer days from work (or you can enjoy more days off of work☺)!
Bodily repairs also happen while you are asleep so after a strenuous day you may need a little more shut eye. In this regard, sleep can help decrease your risk of heart disease, high blood pressure and stroke to a small degree.
How many hours of sleep should you get each night? This all depends on your body, but on average adults need between six to eight hours. Also, if you are ill or stressed out, you may need more sleep. If you find yourself tired during the day or are having difficulty concentrating, you may need more sleep.
If you are the type of person who wakes up at about the same time no matter what, staying up later will not help you get more sleep. Go to bed earlier and enjoy the benefits of a good night’s sleep!
Too little sleep can wreck havoc!
Non restorative sleep can be just as harmful as too little sleep. Both of them can…
1. Cause you to have a higher body mass index. (Increase your weight). Sleep deprivation can alter your metabolism.
2. Cause your brain to stop producing new cells, which can affect your memory.
3. Cause an increase in cancer risk since not enough sleep affects your day/night cycle which then affects hormonal production.
4. Cause an increase in diabetes risk. With an increased body mass index there is an increase to develop diabetes.
5. Cause you to age before your time. Too little sleep can affect metabolism and hormone production to make you age sooner.
Caffeine can’t fix sleep loss!
