Fatigue and Stress
Posted Wednesday, 04 November 2009 By DrHendricksen
Stess is definately a trigger for making symptoms worse. The more you can combat stress in your life the better off you will be.

The extreme fatigue can be from medications so talk to your doctor about that and read the inserts that you get with your prescriptions as they will tell you if fatigue is a side effect. If you can get off of the medicines then you may get energy back.

The steps in my eBook Leaving Fibromyalgia Behind(TM) take you through ways to combat your fibromyalgia symptoms and all together they work at your stress levels and fatigue. Fibromyalgia and its symptoms are not an easy fix, but something that must be managed on a continual basis by doing the right things the right way!

GOOD N BAD DAYS

If not taken care of in the right way, fibromyalgia symptoms can get worse. However, they will not get to a point where they will kill you so the disease is considered non- progressive.

From the many people that I've helped, I know it is possible to live a normal life again. That is why I created Leaving Fibromyalgia Behind(TM). It may be worth it for you to try it.

Lyrica dosage?

I am on Lycira and have been on it for about three years. It has not helped me that much and I would like to know the dosage that helps most people?
Lyrica dosage?
Posted Wednesday, 04 November 2009 By DrHendricksen
This is a question that needs to be discussed with the MD that prescribed Lyrica to you. However, here are the guidelines that Pfizer gives for Lyrica when prescribed for fibromyalgia.
Administer in 2 divided doses per day
 Begin dosing at 150 mg/day
 May be increased to 300 mg/day within 1 week
 Maximum dose of 450 mg/day.
Just be very careful with Lyrica. It has some potentially serious side effects.

Also, remember that each drug is different and not everyone will respond the same way. If you ae interested in finding a drug that works for you, talk to your MD about that. Otherwise you can work on lifestyle changes to help you overcome many of your symptoms.
depression

I have found that it brightens my day to help another person. For me it does not have to be something big. It means going the extra step to take my neighbor's garbage can to their house when I go to bring my own in. It could be holding the stores door open for someone who is struggling with a stroller upon entry. It's as simple as greeting the mailman at the door and offering him/her a drink of water, or a bunch of grapes. Anything helpful to someone that takes me out of myself is refreshing.

Most definately. Sometimes just thinking about things other than our own pain or problems puts things into the right perspective.
sleep
Posted Friday, 18 September 2009 By granzy4
I have difficulty sleeping and have found that by journaling my worries or aches on those hard-to-get-to-sleep nights, it helps me to put the problems or aches to bed and I can relax a bit more and capture some sleep. Does anyone have another way they use that could be helpful to me?
